Welcome to the start of Great Escape week on DiS...
We hope, from all of our coverage, you know that The Great Escape is a music festival in the seaside city of Brighton. The event jams as many interesting, innovative and/or fresh-faced brand new bands into as many venues as possible, providing music fans with three days crammed full of exceptional live music from across the globe.
For the past few year's DiS has joined in, taking over a venue and putting on some of our favourites, ranging from Idlewild, The Cooper Temple Clause and Metric to Gallows, Crystal Castles and Laura Marling. This year, we're back, with a hand-picked bill on Thursday and Friday night with the likes of Rolo Tomassi, Blood Red Shoes, Ruby Suns and Mount Kimbie - FULL DETAILS HERE (or RSVP on Facebook here.
Anyway, with The Great Escape 2010 only a few days away, here's our Spotify playlist to help you pick who to see (or avoid) when they take to stages this weekend in clubs, pubs and churches. Oh, and we should point out, there's plenty more Great Escape coverage coming up this week, including Blood Red Shoes and Fat Cat Records' guides to Brighton, our suggested schedule and more...
