Ahead of their Christmas EP 'A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like a Kiss)', Paul Donoghue from Glasvegas tells us about five things he loves...
Watch the video to 'Please Come Back Home' here - the lead single from the EP. Bookies William Hill have given it 33/1 odds that it could be Christmas number 1, which is the same odds as Girls Aloud and The Pogues, and better odds than Beyonce, Britney Spears and The Killers. The track is available from December 1st via iTunes, and the limited edition Christmas EP is available exclusively from the band's website. It features the following tracks:
Please Come Back Home
Cruel Moon
Careful What You Wish For
Fuck You, It's Over
A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss)
Silent Night / Noapte de vis
1. Pepperoni and jalapeno pizza.
The greatest combination of flavours you can have and the only way to gaurantee your own room on tour. The burnt ring is well worth it.
2. Grand Theft Auto IV for the PS3.
This is the best computer game i've ever played. No matter how nice you think you are you can't help but enjoy a good drive by or kill a hooker. All virtual of course. I don't want Ross Kemp talking to me like he's Tim fucking Westwood or anything.
3. The X Files.
I'm a big sci-fi geek and get ribbed by the rest of the band regularly for this. Don't care though, it's an amazing show. You can't help but think there is serious conspiracies going on. But Obama is in power now so if there's anyone the aliens are gonna like, it would be him.
4. Football.
This was my first passion before i got into music. It meant so much to me when I used to go and see Glasgow Rangers every other Saturday. It makes you feel like part of a big family and really helped me to grow up. I loved the way the energy in the stadium fizzes when your team is on the attack, but the devastation when you lose to your rivals or go out the cup can be overwhelming too.
5. Pranks.
The best way to pass time on tour. Some of ours involved Geraldine and Martin, our Merch girl and monitor engineer making a hotel lift into a bedroom. They put a duvet, pillows, plants, kettle and tv in. But the concierge caught them and almost kicked them out. Our Sound guy Kev hates cheese so i put the biggest bit of camembert i've ever seen into his laptop case and left it for him to find. I've also locked Caroline in more toilets than i would care to mention.

Pepperoni and jalapeno pizza.
Yes.
And GTAIV is a bit good.
And I don't even 'do' video games.
this is quite revealing, I was expecting
1. Jesus and Mary Chain
2. JAMC
3. William Reid
4. Jim Reid
5. People who drum standing up
Is that comment about Aliens...
....liking Obama a bit racist?
seriously.....
get some decent content. this is ridiculous.
and...
sunglasses?
leather jackets?
alan mcgee?
It started so well with the pizza chat...
Then comes the football chat. "Glasgow Rangers". Who even calls them that? Idiot. Rubbish summary of the joys of football and emotion attached.
He's obviously never played
Broken Sword.
I was expecting
1. Walking 500 Miles
2. Receiving letters from America
3. Phil Spector
4. NOasis
5.Shouting
I agree
No wonder I don't come back here very often anymore. Oh well. At least the Clough family are saving money.
Not one for the Bhoys then.
I suspect Kevin that you are a "Glasgow" Celtic fan!
He is maybe calling them Glasgow Rangers to differentiate from all those London cahnts who call QPR, Rangers.
i 'love'
that nobody will give a toss about Glassvegas in a few years time.
...
