It's easy to dislike Feeder. They're so bland, so one-paced, so backward looking. And as for the ‘cringe when your singing’ "Buck Rogers", well...
And here they are again, peddling their punk infused rock infused pop once more. Two quite interesting things: "Just A Day" wasn't featured on their Top 5 "Echo Park" album released earlier this year, but is featured on Gran Turismo 3. Which, for our older readers, is one of those new-fangled computer games.
It's a bounce around the room kinda tune (Hey! they could be in a rap song!), a fact backed up by the genius video, which shows......people bouncing around the room to it. Lyrically, it's typically weak "I don’t want to drink don’t want to be a clown, I got to get my feet back on the ground" is one of the more digestible lines. But the "All, by, myself..." chorus is tolerable enough.
So a difficult record to dislike. Unless you actually do dislike it. In which case, it's a crap record.
