A dance-choon guy called Rob da Bank took to the specially created mobile and turntable decks to play the first ever mobile mixing set, using the phone to remix tracks stored on the handset. We’re confused.
Basically, it appears that you can remix tracks on your phone with Fireplayer starting tomorrow (July 1st). Users can add their own sound effects, such as vocals or bass, and can save it as their unique ringtone. They will also be able to download full-length tracks directly to their phone using the Music Player without the need for a separate music-playing device.
Orange, who are running the service, have confirmed deals with V2, Warner Music and Skint to secure content for both the Fireplayer and Music Player.
Why are we telling you this? Cos it’s like, the future, plus because the Orange Music 247 tent will be pitching up at T in the Park on 10 and 11 July and at The Carling Weekend: Reading Festival on 27 to 29 August.
And because we told you this, we will be able to give away tickets to both these festivals. Soon.
Y’see?
Yes.
