Brand New to Release Not-So Brand New Single

In what appears to be the month for reissues and general repackages in the chase for that elusive (see Goldfrapp and The Raveonettes) or long-awaited (see Keane) hit, current emo faves Brand New join the club on 17th May by re-releasing former single 'The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows'.

Although previously only available as a limited pressing of 600 copies, 'The Quiet Things...' will be available on 7" coloured vinyl, CD and DVD featuring a host of otherwise unavailable tracks across all three formats including their version of Built To Spill's 'Car'.

They're also on tour at the moment, playing with the mighty Incubus TONIGHT (11th May) at Birmingham NEC and on the following dates:

MAY 2004
Wed 12th GLASGOW SECC (w/ Incubus)
Thurs 13th SHEFFIELD Leadmill (headline show)
Fri 14th MANCHESTER MEN Arena (w/ Incubus)
Sat 15th LONDON Wembley Arena (w/ Incubus)
Mon 17th LONDON Virgin Megastore (in-store show)

The Goldfrapp one's definitely the stupidest because it was a hit originally (albeit not a big one) and they have released 4 singles off the album already I think, should give up and move on now... and from the midweeks it looks like it's going to end up all of a couple of places higher, big deal

Agreed. Absolutely love goldfrapp - black cherry album...although I have to say, i'm increasingly getting the feeling it's basically 10 tracks of very similar takes on the one underlying concept of sexy, sleazy, easy-going electronica.....like Air jamming after too much viagra and whiskey....so it feels a touch monotonous, but still makes me feel goooooood........
cant wait to hear more, is there any word on new stuff coming out?
