- Oceansize »
Yes sirreee, Manchester's Janes Addiction-via-Tool-doingsomelushspacerock-n-rollers Oceansize have completed their debut album and named it 'Effloresce', which according to a handy dictionary that translates as "vb. 1. To burst forth into or as if into flower; bloom." Before the album they release a new single, 'Remember Where You Are', on 1st September, and the album follows on 29th September.
And seeing as we've written lots of nice stuff about them in the past, they've given us a pair of tickets to give away to you for their special show @ The Bull & Gate, in Kentish Town, North London on August 11th. To stand a chance of winning email us your best description of the band to oceansizesoundlike@drownedinsound.com, include your full name and we'll pick a winner and they shall go to the ball.
Entry to the Bull & Gate show will be limited, as the venue only holds about 200 people, so get there early (have a pint with one of the old men at the bar) to avoid disappointment.
