Hair-metallers; the new Smiths (very debatable!); as seen on tour with Def Leppard; supporting Robbie @ Knebworth; on Jools Holland with Simply Red this week; playing just about every festival bill this summer; the only unsigned band I can think to have headlined The London Astoria; it's the one, the only, The Darkness who're on course to top the UK Charts!
According to midweek sales, their single - out this week, on the wonderful indie label Must Destroy Music - is currently sitting at number 9. Yes m'dear, you read that right, inside the top 10! And although the charts mean naff all nowadays, it'd make one helluva statement if the band hit the top spot by the end of this weekend. You know what to do. Show your support. And this time on Monday the headline will ring true.
You can even get it on 7" for 99p, apparently. There's a DVD version too.
