Kevin Bales, drummer with Spiritualized, is currently in
hospital in Nottingham recovering from leukemia.
After the band returned from a tour of Australia, Kevin fell ill and was admitted for tests, being diagnosed soon after.
The band had to cancel a gig in Norway but will however still play Leeds/Reading as well as Glasgow On The Green with Chris Davis, drummer from Nottinghams' Six by Seven, standing in.
The recording of their next album, which they were due to commence work on in September, has now been delayed for the near future.
We all wish Kevin a speedy recovery.

well to be fair to them, mr J. spaceman does seem to be good at dumping whole band lineups and starting again at the best of times, i'm sure one guy down won't be too much trouble for him..
