Le Guess Who?, one of Europe’s most diverse and eclectic festivals, celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year, and is commemorating this milestone by making 2016’s edition the biggest and best yet. The festival has just announced the lineups curated by their four main headliners, Wilco, Savages, Suuns, and Julia Holter, programs that showcase each curator’s diverse range of inspirations and interests, ranging from post-rock experimentalism to avant-classical orchestration via West African ngoni and minimalist pop. In addition, there will be an extremely rare performance from mystical jazz singer Patty Waters (who has influenced the likes of Patti Smith, Diamanda Galás and Lydia Lunch); Dinosaur Jr.; Digable Planets; Wooden Shjips; Cate Le Bon; Ryley Walker; and Scott Fagan, performing 1968’s long-lost soul/psych-folk masterpiece ‘South Atlantic Blues’ in full at one of his first ever European shows.
There’s also The Mega Record and CD Fair, which runs alongside the festival. With 500+ record dealing stands, it is the largest record fair in the world, internationally renowned for its incredibly comprehensive collection of vinyl and pop memorabilia.
