Following hot on the heels of that At The Drive-In reformation announcement, The Mars Volta - formed from ATD-I's ashes - have got some news of their own, that of a new album. Essentially: it's called Noctourniquet and will be released on March 27, as confirmed on the band's official website.

Here's something we assume to be the artwork, whilst the tracklisting is listed below.

Exciting news, but if that's the cover then it looks like a PowerPoint background

and they have deteriorated substantially from Storm Thorgerson days.
