Stephen Malkmus to release new record in August
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater May 24th, 2011

Although he's been fairly busy in the last couple of years with all the reunited Pavement stuff going on, Stephen Malkmus has found time to record and release the next Jicks album, which comes out through Domino on August 22. Good news! Oh, it's called Mirror Traffic, by the way.

It's also been produced by Beck Hansen (or just plain ol' Beck to you and me). It is also the final record in which Janet Weiss - formerly of Sleater-Kinney - drums. Taking her place on the tour will be Jakes Morris, drummer of the Joggers. Those shows will be announced pretty soon, with hopefully some in the UK.

Below is the album art, by the way.
