Yes, it appears it's 'give away an EP' week, what with Efterklang doing so with Slaraffenland and now (well, before actually) Trent Reznor's new project are doing similar. You might be familiar with them already, but if not...they go by the name of How To Destroy Angels. Sorry we're a bit late with this one.
The six-track debut EP is available to download entirely for free below. It has this artwork, which - if we were playing word association - would lead me to exclaim "JAPAN!" for quite obvious reasons. As reported elsewhere, the EP comes at 320kbps on the free version, but you can pay for it if you want something slightly higher, though 320 is surely fine for most people.

Anyway, the tracklist for the following is:
- The Space In Between
- Parasite
- Fur-Lined
- BBB
- The Believers
- A Drowning
It's a cracker
Downloaded it yesterday and I've listened to it about 4 times so far. It's not terribly removed from Year Zero onward NIN, but to be honest it was highly unlikely Reznor was going to abandon his old ways. It's essentially more dubsteppy, a dark ambient, post-industrial sound that marries his and Mariqueen's voice very nicely. She has a cadence to her voice that fits Reznor's sound aesthetic perfectly - you can tell why he wanted to work with her let alone marry her.
Fur Lined is the standout track in my opinion, though I am still immensely fond of A Drowning for its slow burn. Beautifully produced.
