It's been three long years since Klaxons took the musical world by storm and some might say surprise, and those years have seen a lot of upheaval and annoying confusion over the follow-up to Myths Of The Near Future. That was all recently cleared up with the announcement of a new album, thankfully.
The revelation today is that a new track from this new album will be streamed online (where the hell else would it be streamed?!), on their official website from 8PM this evening (May 25). So, that's in under three hours at time of writing, around 2.5 at time of publication. So not long at all. The track's called 'Flashover', by the way.
The new record is provisionally called Surfing The Void and has been produced by Ross 'Brighten Symbals' Robinson, who has worked with some of the biggest names in the Rock World but still can't spell. It's said to be "a back to basics" rock record. Jamie Reynolds, bassist says:
“We were an art project that got out of hand but now we are a band.”
Poetic. They've also got a few tour dates in the next month or so, which we presume will see them play some of this new material. They will play:
15/6 - Paris, Nouveau Casino
13/7 - Glasgow, King Tut's
14/7 - Manchester, Ruby Lounge
27/7 - London, Village Underground
