London femme-folk superstar Laura Marling was due to release her second album, I Speak Because I Can, on March 22. Well, that's still going to be the case (THANK THE LORD ALMIGHTY!) but, in a slightly unexpected throw of the dice, there will also be A WHOLE 'NOTHER album later in the year. A sensational turn of events, especially given the first one's only ten tracks long.
The next record will be released in September, with recording starting in March, with Ethan Johns again behind the boards. Move your eyes below for I Speak Because I Can's tracklist:
- Devil's Spoke
- Made By Maid
- Rambling Man
- Blackberry Stone
- Alpha Shallows
- Goodbye England
- Hope In The Air
- What He Wrote
- Darkness Descends
- I Speak Because I Can
The album will be preceded by a single, 'Devil's Spoke', which will be released on March 15. There's a brand new video for that over at The Guardian, so go there to view it, and Marling's new hair-style, if you care about that sort of thing. She seems a little more angry this time, doesn't she?
There's also a tour to support the record's release:

i fancy her so much i think i might fall over
oh christ...
She's a pretentious idiot, I'd advise against seeing her. And her on-stage banter is dreadful, in that it doesn't exist.
Waste. Of. Time.
I really like the new song
guardian article comments are saying it's a rip off of dylan, in fact i think she might have been influenced positively by johnny flynn who she spent some part of last year with- the song isn't telling a direct narrative and is slightly more powerful, and he is very influenced by dylan
