First DiS bands announced for Sheffield's Tramlines festival

Remember we told you about Tramlines Festival, that free Dot To Dot-esque shindig going down in Sheffield from July 24th-26th? No? Well, we did, and now DiS has exciting news of the first wave of bands confirmed for the bash along our 'circuit' of venues, which we're programming with the fine folk at Adventures In The Beetroot Field.

These acts will be spread across various inner-city watering holes (including The Harley, Bungalows And Bears, The Shakespeare and The Stockroom) over the course of the weekend - expect a full running order soon, but this little list should be enough to whet the appetite:

  • Banjo Or Freakout
  • Chips For The Poor
  • Crocodiles
  • Errors
  • Invasion
  • I Monster (DJ)
  • Johnny Foreigner
  • Kasms
  • Kid Acne
  • Man Like Me
  • Maps
  • Munch Munch
  • Navvy
  • Rolo Tomassi
  • Rotary Ten
  • Slow Club
  • The XX

All those acts - and many more still to come - for the bargain price of nothing. Excited? We are. Remember, our circuit is only one small part of the festival, and you'll find more information about what else is going on (including sets from the likes of the La's, Little Boots and Reverend & The Makers) over at the Tramlines website. It's going to be quite a weekend!

If you're in the area and looking for a live fix before then, remember we've got the rather excellent, recent-Grizzly Bear-supporting - Here We Go Magic playing for us at The Harley next Wednesday (July 8th). Do check them out if you haven't already. More information can be found on Last.fm and Facebook.
