Watch: new Foals video

The new Foals video has appeared online at Pitchfork.tv.
'Red Socks Pugie' has seemed pretty nailed on for release as a single ever since we heard the track on an advance album sampler last autumn. Perhaps the track on Antidotes that comes closest to realising the band's cold pop vision, its minutes nonetheless unfold in familiar swarms of polystrung guitars and Jack Bevan's lilting, flirty drums, the whole lurching thing accompanied here by artful profile shots and just huge, fuck-off explosions.
It's really good - see for yourself below. It's out on the 26th May.
Video: Foals - 'Red Socks Pugie'
Foals have recently been confirmed to play both Radio 1's Big Weekend and Field Day and announced their own October headlining tour.

hmmm

i like it though
that video is shit
shitshitshit
will yannis
sing properly for once?
They ripped off
Bloc party
what the fuck is that video about
it's really terrrrrrrrrrrrible.
i like the song though.
What sort of newt is that?
Isn't there a law against disturbing them? Good job they were filming a video and not building a bypass.
Isn't this just...
a QandnotU song but done really badly?
No
Because he can't. See also: their acoustic set that someone posted here not so long ago...
Sorry but this is shit
I love Foals but this is the laziest video ever. The nuclear bomb montage has been done ad nauseum and often better than this (check out some of the fan-made Godspeed - Moya videos on YouTube). Not only is it a lazy concept but it's completely misjudged for this song. If this is their regular video guy who made this then I'm shocked, and if it's the record label then I'm disappointed. I know a lot of people hated their previous videos but at least they're a bit original and quirky, this is very uninspired.
By Moya I meant Rocket Falls
Why the hell doesn't DiS let you edit posts...
Here's a link anyway: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV83U4CDAx4
And what's the bit at the start
with the lake all about? It then moves onto the circulatory system and nuclear bombs without ever coming back to them by the lake. Seems a bit pointless.
if it was shot on proper super 8
instead of digital and then adding effects, it might be ok.
at least it's a bit more interesting
than that last one they did with the meat hanging around the room while they stood there...
you reckon?
sorta see what you mean
Snowden are better x10 though... :)
Jeeeez
I never knew the hatred on this board had blossomed so much, It's a nice video..
Yeah yeah but..
It's alright, the relationship between the music and video is a strange one but I like the way the video add another medium to it.
At least's not full of half naked ladies waving their butts in yo face and washing a car with their tittys.
shit
that would make an awesome video. they should have done that.
imagine yannis covered in bling and surrounded by booty-shaking-bitches. amazing.
The nuclear bomb montage
reminds me of God Is An Astronaut.
