London-based three-piece Buck Brothers are aiming to play their way into the Guinness Book Of Records next month.
On Monday 5th March, the band will attempt to play 30 shows across London in a 12-hour period starting at 11am and finishing at 11pm that night.
They are also going to be recruiting "Travelling Bucksters", who will follow the group around during this potentially historical musical tour of London.
It's also perhaps worth mentioning that on the same day the trio release their debut album, _Me_.
The current record for most gigs in one day is 26 and that was achieved by a German band called **Kansas City**, in Hamburg on 4th December 2004.

no manchester date?
bloody londoners getting all the gigs AGAIN
ridiculous lol
i'm getting funny looks :(
i presume they don't have a shitload of kit.
Buck who??
Mondays are for staying in thank you very much
How long?
How long will each show be?
I'm atempting maths.
30 shows in 12 hours
= 24 mins per show. I'm guessing they must have two sets of kits, with a crew ahead of them setting them up for their next show? Or are they playing acoustic?
The Garage is open again now?
I like dubstep.
Also:
The Rock Café doesn't exist anymore. Methinks this may fail.
theyanygood?
mnryeh?
oh yeah
good point. its now a clothes shop.
More shows in the first two hours
Then 97% of myspace bands will play in the next two years.
New venue list to be posted soon
Andy from Buck Brothers here. It will certainly be a challenge but it'll definitely not be boring.
The venue list posted above has already been changed quite dramatically since the press release went out two weeks ago. This has been due to the 'dynamic nature' of some of our capital's musical haunts (e.g. some have been extremely supportive while others have been lacking in that department). Our new route will be added here next week.
It is indeed a shame about the Rock Cafe (RIP). Just what Camden needs - another clothes shop.
Watch this space.

Buck Brothers
imagine
no one turned up?
poiple toitle
No offense to Andy here, but they're a bit rubbish, extremely predictable and boring.
But once they break that record I'm sure it will all change.
A bit rubbish is better......
.....than totally rubbish.
It never hurts to see the bright side of life.
Much love,
Andy

I was there...
I was there with them on the day, and it was not boring!! or unplugged, and it also did not fail!!!
The day flew by, was a shining example of professional musicians and crew, and was pure music in motion.
and they DID it, well done boys!!
Good luck in Canada...

Most gigs in a day
Blowjangles played 28 gigs in 11 hours in Dublin August 2004.
www.blowjangles.com
That's 1 hour better....
Although I think BB actually did the 28th gig at 10.5 hours, they were intending to break the existing record of 26 that was achieved in a 12 hour period. Either way - well done Buck Brothers. And well done Blow Jangles. Anyone that's a tour dawg and puts themselves out there is ok in my book.
PS.....
Blowjangles are brilliant and did their gig-a-thon using non-electric instruments. Buck Brothers used a full band set up including drums and a PA. Both bands deserve a pat on the back for a job well done.
