It's not been a good weekend at the Luminaire...
Following the cancellation of Lisa Germano at the same venue last night, tonight's Beirut show at London's Luminaire has had a significant alteration made to the bill. Rather than DiS try to muddle things, we'll just run what the venue made available via their web site:
"It is with great regret that we have to announce that singer and frontman Zach Condon of Beirut is unable to perform tonight, due to unfortunate personal circumstances.
A Hawk and a Hacksaw, and members of Beirut, will still perform; we haven't been informed yet whether their set will be entirely their own songs or include some Beirut material too. Either way, the show will go on, and if their performance at Lumi last August is anything to go by, it'll be jawdropping.
Kid Harpoon will now support.
Doors are still at 7.30 and as it stands, we're sold out. No returns.
Refunds, for those who want them, will be available from the point of purchase. Tickets must be kept untorn and undamaged for refunds to be made. But we strongly recommend you come down anyway, and have your heart spun around by AHAAH's swooping, Romanian-tinged compositions."
