Oasis announce small scale shows

Oasis have announced a string of small scale shows ahead of their summer tour.

The five-date jaunt will give fans the first chance to hear tracks from forthcoming album 'Don't Believe The Truth'.

Those dates are:
May
10 London Astoria
15 Edinburgh Usher Hall
22 London Clapham Grand
25 London Coronet
26 London Carling Apollo Hammersmith

Tickets go on sale Friday 15th April at 9am, priced a mere £32.50, with a maximum of two tickets per applicant. Those with sky-high credit card limits should call 0870 1432205 or visit www.gigsandtours.com

DiScuss: £32-fucking-50? Is it worth it? Given their prediliction for trading on past glories, are Oasis the new Rolling Stones? Do they still matter or should the Gallagher brothers retire to the sun-shiiinneee?

it's not even worth taking the piss out of them anymore.

but you really should look at teletext C4 pg 352 today and look out for the letter from 'DJ Dave' - oh dear god.

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

I'll have a look when I get home, I think I can imagine the jist though...

am i missing the point? why are there 4 london dates?

not that i mind. the further away the better.

Are Oasis the new Stones? No. The Stones are still worth seeing.

4 lonodndatres means that the detritus from the Columbia Hotel circa 95 have somewhere else to cadge drinks from

I cannot emphasise enough how much damage this band did to music

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

Utter nonsense.

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

Rumour has it that Noel Gallagher is actually a new, rare strain of tinnitus. Symptoms include dizziness, nausea and and an itchy pancreas. If suffering from any or all of these conditions, patients should seek assistance from their local GP. Creams are available, although a brief quarantine is lkely.

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

Someone's been pulling your twonk. Probably Jeremy Beadle.

The Coronet website has a really poncy flash intro that is impossible to skip. And it's a whacking great theatre, I hoped it might be a little pub somewhere.

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

I'll save you the bother. It's just an Oasis fan you can laugh at for being less 'indie' than you. What a divvy twat, eh? Probably a chav n'all. Scum.

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

I do love it when fans of bands being slated sign up here just to defend them.

Oasis fans are the best. I remember the heady days of the cross-posting bitch fests between alt.music.radiohead and alt.music.oasis....

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

I'll be doing more than that, given half a chance.

Oasis announce small scale shows

The Clapham Grand! ahahahahaha! Very strange choice.
I'm SO going to that.

Oasis announce small scale shows

they have flashing coloured squre lights on the dancefloor in the grand - do you reckon they will be on for oasis?
Maybe not, people would be more interested in the lights than the band i reckon!

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

Might want to brush up on your insults, then. I mean, Jeremy Beadle?

That's so out-of-it's-time it's, well, Oasis.

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

I've never been swayed by the vagaries of fashion. Jeremy Beadle has as much right to pull someone's twonk in 2005 as he did in 1985. Probably even more so, given the rise of digitial television.

I hate touts more than anything, but........I'm tempted.

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

it used to be a fantastic, grubby old cinema that charged a fiver a ticket, and would let you in for two pounds fifty if the heating wasn't working. once or twice they had to turn away customers because of a rat infestation. i saw my first film at the cinema there. aaah, the halcyon days of childhood.

Re: Oasis announce small scale shows

Your posts bore me. Not that they're intended to entertain me, anyway. Just belittling.
