After last month's excellent Constellation Records exclusive cloudcast (listen to it here if you missed out), we've now persuaded Chicago's excellent Kranky Records to do something similar for us. Though probably most famous in the UK for being Low's one time label, Kranky's current roster features a host of dreamy psych and ambient acts, most notably (as US signatories) the mighty Deerhunter, represented here with 'Like New' from 2007's deeply eerie Fluorescent Grey EP. Away from Bradford Cox's indie stars, this is a beautifully atmospheric half hour snapshot of Kranky's current roster, and we genuinely can't recommend this enough for those who like their music Lynchian and lovely. Many thanks to Nudge's Brian Foote, who mixed it for us. Oh, and the pic is an actual white rainbow... that nature, eh? What a mental.

This is officially the best thing DiS has ever done
Great stuff.
Stars of the Rainbow
Now then, this is a great feature, well done DiS! Apart from the fact that I never knew there was such thing as a White Rainbow, I never knew there was a band called that either. All of this music is quite wonderful, and I can see why they share a label with the marvellous Stars Of The Lid.
i want that Kranky mug.
two thumbs up for Ethernet and White Rainbow
