So we're half-way through the year (or at least we will be in a couple of weeks) and DiS is going to be doing our annual mid-year round-up. Before I pick DiS' Favourite Albums of the Year So Far, I'd like your input, as I always try to represent/aggregate a mixture of the staff and community opinions when doing any kind of listicle (and yeah, I love to hate lists too, but sadly they get loads and loads of traffic and fairweather readers really like them...and I know you all like making lists).

Very almost in that top 5, and may be come year-end... Liars, Metric, FOE, Sigur Ros (really haven't made the time to listen to this properly), Bear in Heaven (belated review to run asafp), Twin Shadow (not out yet but I'm obsessed with it!), Sharon Van Etten, Eight And a Half, Julia Holter and probably a few others that aren't springing to mind...
