Over the past year or so 4AD have been running their "sessions", which have resulted in live video performances from a number of the bands signed to that great label. Now they're releasing a compilation of all those sessions. It will be released on Limited Edition clear vinyl, available to buy from here. Limited to 1,000 copies, by the way. »

On Friday last week we posted a stream of the new dEUS album to listen to over the weekend. It's called Keep You Close and is released next month. Obviously there has been plenty of bits and bobs around the band in the lead up to the record's release and today is little different, as we've got a video of them performing 'Constant Now' live at Lowlands festival.»
The official film of Record Store Day 2011 is called Sound It Out and documents the life of Stockton-on-Tees's last remaining independent record store. In fact, it is the last remaining vinyl record shop in the whole of Teesside. The film premiered earlier this year but to get the film into cinemas there needs to be some extra funding for additional copies, BBFC certification and other administration issues.»
Christopher Owens-fronted San Francisco-based American indie-rock group Girls release a single on October 10. It's 'Honey Bunny' and is taken from their current full-length record, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, which came out early last week. Watch it here:»

As a kid, it's always good to go to birthday parties because you often get free stuff, like cake and balloons and perhaps a wind-up toy or something. As an adult it changes a little, and in some workplaces it is expected that you will be the one to bring in the goodies. This is so unbelievably wrong, but it's OK when, say, record labels celebrate their birthday in this way, as Polyvinyl are doing for their 15th anniversary.»

Three Trapped Tigers have released a ton of super-super videos, as well as equally excellent music on which they are based. Their latest video is going to be quite difficult to top, though. Perhaps they should just stop. It's for 'Reset', which is taken from their current full-length Route One Or Die and stars Matt Berry of Mighty Boosh, Darkplace and Volvic adverts fame.»
