Green Man announce third headliner, another chunk of bands
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater March 30th, 2010

Another fine pile of acts have been announced for this year's Welsh extravaganza that has become the Green Man festival. The third headliners - following on from Joanna Newsom and The Flaming Lips - will be Doves, who play the main stage on Friday. At the moment they're gearing up for a release of a Best Of compilation (April 5), so expect to hear a set littered with their very best, including no fewer than three renditions of 'Here Comes The Fear'.

Also taking their place on the Green Man bill are this selection, done in rough order of preference. I joke, I joke.

Wild Beasts
Fuck Buttons
These New Puritans
Erland & The Carnival
Lone Lady
Girls
Steve Mason what used to be in The Beta Band
Egyptian Hip-Hop
Silver Columns
Memory Tapes
Caitlin Rose
Sleepy Sun
The Wave Pictures
Je Suis Animal
John Smith
Lone Wolf
Simon Felice
Darwin Deez

All in all that's a noteworthy set of artists joining the party, which takes place from 20-22 August 2010 in Glanusk Park, Wales, under the gaze of Sugar Loaf Mountain, something I always thought only existed in Marioland. Apparently not. Adult tickets are £120 for the whole weekend and teen tickets just £50. Tickets and more information available from here.
