No Reading or Leeds Box Office on site for first time
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater August 25th, 2009

It's August Bank Holiday weekend this week and that means only one thing - Reading and Leeds Festivals. You may have noticed this from the content on our site.

The news this time is that for the first time in living history there will be no box office on site at either Reading or Leeds festivals this weekend.

How do we know this? We know it because Festival Republic, the organisers of it all, told us so. And also because the festivals are both sold out.

They stated:

For the first time this year there will be no ticket sales at all on site at Reading and Leeds and anyone without a ticket is strongly advised not to come to the site. Anyone without a valid ticket will not be admitted to the festival site.

So, yeah, the obvious is stated there above. If you don't have a ticket now you aren't going to get one through the official avenues and paths. Choose bastard toutery at your own risk.

Other information releases is as follows:

For Leeds:

Only people with a weekend ticket in addition to an early entry ticket will be able to get on site from 2pm on Wednesday 26th August. If you have a weekend ticket but do not have an early entry ticket, please do not arrive at the festival before 3am on Thursday 27th August. Please do not arrive earlier than your ticket permits. If you do not have a ticket, please do not come to the site.

For Reading:

Only people with a weekend ticket in addition to an early entry ticket will be able to get on site from 6pm on Wednesday 26th August. If you have a weekend ticket but do not have an early entry ticket, please do not arrive at the festival before 8am on Thursday 27th August. There is no comfortable waiting area or facilities for anyone arriving too early. The festival site is based adjacent to a main road and so please bear your safety, festival staff’s safety and the safety of the road users in mind. Please do not arrive earlier than your ticket permits. If you do not have a ticket, please do not come to the site.

So, there you have it. Enjoy your time, kids. Don't go mad and enjoy the music.
