Shearwater may well have produced one of the finest LPs of recent years with last year's Rook.
The good news for you denizens and citizens of Europe is that J. Meiburg Esquire and his band of merry men will be dragging themselves around Europe to play their music for your entertainment, something which includes three dates in England.
Here is the European tour in full:
September:
10 - Voorhuit, Ghent BE
11- End Of The Road Festival, Dorset UK
12 - Brudenell Social Club, Leeds UK (w/ Clinic)
13 - Colchester Arts Centre, Colchester UK
14 - The Luminaire, London UK
15 - Effenaar, Eindhoven NL
16 - Tivoli (De Helling), Utrecht NL
The other good news is that the band are at current recording the follow-up to Rook with John Congleton, who has previously worked with the likes of Bill Callahan aka Smog, Antony And The Johnsons and St Vincent.
The European tour is a break from their recording schedule so, hopefully, you'll be lucky enough to hear some new songs if you get yourself to one of the above shows.
