Lethal Bizzle

Uh Oh! (I'm Back)

Label: V2 Release Date: 25/07/2005

thommo by Thomas Blatchford August 4th, 2005

DiS: So basically what you’re saying, Mr Bizzle – can I call you Lethal? – with your new single ‘Uh Oh! (I’m Back)’ is that you’ve been away for a while but, now you have returned, other emcees should by rights be soiling themselves at the prospect of your biting lyrical flow?

Lethal Bizzle: Bizzle’s back in taaaaahn! I’ve come to lock it daaaaahn!!

DiS: I see. I must say, I rather like this tune of yours, but it is difficult to tell whether you’re too grimy to still be a UK garage trailblazer, or too polished to be a grime contender. Don’t you think?

*LB*: Yeah, ‘cos we’re in a different class…the real kid’s back on the block at last.

DiS: Well I wouldn’t go that far, blud, it’s not like you’re the only decent rhymesmith from the capital at the moment, is it? Actually I think I prefer your ‘club smash’ of a B-side, ‘No!’, which seems reminiscent of More Fire Crew in their heyday, more aggressive in terms of the beats and the bass and the shouting, like. You were in More Fire, weren’t you?

*LB*: Could you bring it to the Fire Camp? NO! Could he bring it to the Fire Camp? NO! Could they bring it to the Fire Camp? NO!

DiS: Indeed. You heard it kids, don’t be a hater.
