Ambulance Ltd

Stay Where You Are

Label: TVT Release Date: 14/02/2005

7570
domgourlay by Dom Gourlay February 7th, 2005

From the so-cool-you-just-can't-say-no! depths of NYC come Ambulance Ltd, a band who actually revel in sounding like a throwback to the days of centre-parted bowl haircuts and over excitable tremelo features.

But that is all good, yeah.

Because 'Stay Where You Are' is like watching rain slide down the back of an aubergine shaded VW beetle while the last remnants of My Bloody Valentine's 'Loveless' ebb away through the tiniest set of in-car speakers. And don't you just love the way singer Marcus Congleton elongates the word "are" into some kind of fascinating epilogue from the confines of outer utopia. ARRR-RRRRR-ERRRR. a-rrrr-e-rrrr. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRe.

Delicious. Truly.
