Mad Donna

The Wheels On The Bus

Label: Star Harbour Release Date: 22/04/2002

1807
_adam_ by Adam Anonymous May 18th, 2002

Ever wondered why nobody has ever covered classic sub-nursery rhyme ‘The Wheels On The Bus’, but Madonna ‘Ray of Light’ stylee? Well worry no longer.

If there is a point to this single from Oxford-based label Star Harbour, then it appears to be well concealed amongst thick lashings of ironic aren’t-we-so-clever twattery.

But then that never stopped the people behind those godawful Diff'rent Strokes/ Stripes cover versions and this will surely be lapped up by smug sixth formers the world over (and indeed, as recent chart success proved, was).

Yes it is catchy. But then so is Chlamydia. And you wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
