Pirates: Gettin' Jiggy Wit' It
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver July 13th, 2004
Will Smith knows his history...

The big-eared rapper-cum-actor-cum-rapper-cum-actor has gone on the record stating that pirates - of the internet variety (what year do you think this is, 1694?) - are okay. His reasoning?

"My take is, 'Okay, there were pirates 1,000 years ago - there is no reason for us to think that we'll live without them in the year 2004.' It's always going to be there. In keeping with my intuitive comprehension of the universe, it would be foolish of me to upset myself with something that always has been and always will be."

Yeah, he's okay with it now, but what about when he hears that I've ripped every episode of The Fresh Prince... off the 'net and that I'm selling them in DVD boxsets for £30 a pop? Eh, Smith, eh?

Not really, of course (lawyers, leave it).
