Kaisers ready second album

Speaking to excitable Radio 1 deej Zane Lowe last weekend, Ricky Wilson wowed all present with the revelation that his Kaiser Chiefs have nearly finished work on their second album.
"It should be in all good record shops in February," Ricky chirped. "It should be just in time for Valentine’s Day, we might put a big heart on the front.
"The perfect gift for a loved one! How’s that for marketing?”
If my girlfriend buys me this I might have to smack her in the mouth.

why
waiting for so long ?
So that people forget about them ?
I hope
Ricky Wilson gets stuck up a chimney like the cheap sweep he is. Romantic? nah nah nah nah nah NO!
Hopefully it will bomb
A bit like the Darkness' second "opus."
Spots
and greasy hair.
wrong
article.
am I meant ot say something negative at this point
carnt be arsed!
that's too long between albums. Obviously not everyone can manage Sufjan Stevens' amount of output, but for a pop band who want to build on their successes, this seems like a foolish move.
Especially...
If it's just about finished...
Two years?
That's pretty quick, considering the amount of touring they did and the number of times they had to rerelease I Predict A Riot.
expect no Darkness
they played new ones at Oxegen Ireland yesterday and they were alarmingly good. there was a tune called Everything's Average or something like that. It had I Predict Another Riot written all over it and was a bit like The Undertones My Perfect Cousin. My guess is they'll do very well next time around too, great songwriting travels well and stands the test of time and Kaisers have just got that gift whether we like it or not.
hmm
"It had I Predict Another Riot written all over it and was a bit like The Undertones My Perfect Cousin. "
It sounds great.
no, its not quick. They haven't had much prescence for the last few months...they need to bring out new material asap.
They do tour too much though. That's part of the problem with lots of current bands. Too much touring and not enough new songs. Beck toured odelay for fucking ages, and went from being a big, important artist, to being a culty hasbeen.
This has made my Monday
Hurray, yipeeeee...
I am only interested however if there are pictures of Ricky on the outside and on the inside. and maybe on the CD.
2nd Album?
They released one?
I was so sure
the smack would've claimed Wilson by now.
Oh my god, I can't believe it...
...this is going to sound exactly the same as the first one: Shitty.
personally
I'm looking forward to this album. I like the Kaiser Chiefs. They're great live! And lovely blokes.
Think about it...people only remember what an album sounds like, not when it was released.
Meh
First album was pretty boring in general. IMO, they're another Franz Ferdinand
Remind me....
Whose label gave the Kaiser's their first break?
"Fickle" doesn't come into it.....
Everything's Average
What a spirit-crushingly apt name for a Kaiser Chiefs song
exactly...
Kaisers started right here. It's very fickle.
They might not be the coolest, or best band out there but they are a great pop band and a great live band too and I reckon will be remembered as an important British band. The new songs were great at the weekend and I predict success the second time around too.
