Silly, silly, silly...

Bob Dylan's people have apparently been in contact with bosses of American Idol (that's the US version of Pop Idol, d'uh), saying that the mumbling rock legend wanted to appear as a guest judge on the show.

Imagine...

Wannabe pop star: So, Mr Dylan, how did you like my take on Anastacia?
Bob: mummmmummmmummmmummm, um, huh?
Simon Cowell: Oh knob off you useless tart. No, not you kid, this bag of bones here. For the record kid, I think you've a great voice, and you're through to the last 50. Awwww look! He's wet himself now...

Bless. Rumour has it that Paul McCartney is also considering an offer to appear on the show. Dylan meanwhile is currently appearing in an ad for underwear manufacturer Victoria's Secret in the States. Oh, and he probably doesn't have an incontinence problem. Yet.

I've pretty much given up on macca, he used to be my fave beatle, i now know why everyone loved Lennon so much.
Dylan, hum. I doubt he'll have anything of much worth to say. Theyr after ppl like Cowell. Ruthless, and astute in business. He knows what will sell. Thats the name of the game.

He is the one who started the "Hobbit Phenomenon," with World Idol winner Kurt Nielsen...

His umpteenth Greatist Hits can be attributed to a retirment nest egg...this is just weird.

I am so surpirsed Bob Dylan is in to all this shite.

It doesn't really bother me either way and I'm no purist elitist - just thought he was aloof and above this kinda stuff in his own mind.

Macca I'm not surprised about... he did do that cheesy video message for fame academy when they all destroyed Beatles songs, but Bob Dylan? Does he really need this sort of exposure? Sheesh!
