Starting with festival news, the Bath Pavilion is to be host of the inaugural 'The Event', an indoor festival (Bath's first apparently!). Headlining are the legends Ozric Tentacles with Lucy Ray & Circle Line being among the other confirmed bands. It is to be held on May 14th with tickets costing £12.50. UK old school punkers Stiff Little Fingers have been snapped up to the uber-cool Kung-Fu Records. The U.S. label founded by The Vandals has got the SLF working hard already with a UK tour (which kicked off on the 19th) as well as releasing their brand new album 'Guitar & Drum', which is due for release on July 13th.
In further Kung-Fu news, pop punkers The Vandals have announced the title and release date of their new album. It is called 'Hollywood Potato Chip' and is released on June 29th, so make a note in your diary. In their own words, 'I Gotta Date!'.
Essex based band Sancho have decided to call it a day. Over the last year, things have been 'turbulent' by the band’s own admission and have now bitten the dust. They have said they may be back in another form so keep your eye out!

The Kitchen, the band of ex-BiS member Amanda McKinnon are set to release a limited edition split 10" in the next few weeks. Released through Mr Biji Records, it is split with The Multiplies with each band contributing two tracks. The band are also to play at the Camden Verge on June 5th.
The now infamous Punk Rock Karaoke is due to hit London in a big way in April. For those of you who don't know, you have a live band play the songs and you make a twat of yourself by singing some punking classics! Being held at the upstairs at Highbury Garage on April 3rd, if you fancy rockin' out some Ramones, cranking out some Clash singing something by The Specials, then get down there for 8 PM and bring a fiver as that’s the entrance cost!
Dutch emo-rockers Face Tomorrow are set to release their new album. Titled 'The Closer You Get', it is due for release on May 11th it will be proceeded by the single 'Sign Up', which will be released on April 1st (yes, April Fools Day AND a Thursday!). Southampton Joiners is set to hold an extreme metal festival in August. Sponsored by Terrorizer magazine, bands confirmed so far are Desecration, Unsanctum, Arcane Church, InThisDefiance, Necro Ritual, Frosthold, Vallenbrosa & JetsVsSharks.
