The Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood - pictured far right - has checked himself into rehab ahead of the band's European A Bigger Bang tour, which kicks off on July 11 in Milan.

The guitarist has checked into celeb' detox gaff of choice The Priory to overcome his addiction to booze. Wood - 59 years old and still a looker, sayeth my mum - has been aware of this particular problem for a while, apparently, but has only decided to take action now.

Well, tis the season: Pete's still in, albeit over in Portugal, and there's plenty on the telly to distract your attentions away from the local watering hole. Now, if only us DiS sorts could go a whole World Cup match without sinking four Spitfires. Tomorrow evening is gonna be blurry...

BLURRY TOMORRA...

Make it blurry at the water rats, twentysixfeet (me band), play an 8pm set, just after the match should have finished. They are screening the match first and this was the only way they bribed me to play. We can all get sloshed together and then you can laugh at me attempting to play a set of music you don't want to have to attempt after a skinful...ohhhhhh I'm brave!
