Death Cabbing Across The UK

Does anyone know how to get hold of tickets for Edinburgh? Drop me a line if you've found any...

Death Cabbing Across The UK

Plus, the support for some of these dates is SEACHANGE!!!!

Beautiful.

Death Cabbing Across The UK

bit slow :p

theyve been on sale for about a month now

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Ugh, Seachange. I saw them headlining when I think it was Redjetson and Lapsus Linguae supporting. To be fair the 'Linguae easily outshone both of them.Seachange are average.

Death Cabbing Across The UK

Glad they're playing edinbro' and not that dump down the M8. At least some bands see sense.

Got my tickets from Ripping today (yeah, i've been slow too, but it was a long walk from work)

and... it's really seachange?
cool, should be a fucking great night. cant wait now.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Against the might AmAnSet seachange stand no chance!

Seriously tho, they're dead good. Lo-fi as it should be.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Seachange

Hello. I think my information about Seachange supporting is entire rubbish.

Sorry to all involved - I will go and administer some form of punishment for my error.

Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Hmmm, yes. The Silver Pill are supporting in Edinburgh. I've not heard them in years but they were always pretty decent, I thought.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

I think you should just phone The Venue - 0131 557 3073. The Silver Pill are supporting that night - a fine band.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Seemed a bit stale last time i saw them (some time late last year supporting snow patrol).

they seem like they should still have loads of energy, it just never works for me... maybe this time.

Still cant wait for death cab though :)

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Ta muchos! Also ta to the person that mentioned Ripping!

Death Cabbing Across The UK

ARGH!!! They're missing Birmingham AGAIN!!!!! Damn them to hades! I'm not happy :(

Death Cabbing Across The UK

Being a sooth-sayer, I say that the Bristol gig will definitely be the best. Sooth.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Glad that American Analog Set are supporting, looking forward to seeing them, but don't know anything about Death Cab. They good?

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

i feel for you. But, on the other hand, i dont blame them!

Death Cabbing Across The UK

Death Cab For Cutie are bloody brilliant! I only found out about them a few months ago because Ben Gibbard is working with Travis Morrison (ex-Dismemberment Plan) on his solo album. Their latest album, Transatlanticism has received rave reviews but personally, I prefer The Photo Album. I was stoked when I heard that they were playing The Fleece in Bristol, should be the perfect venue to see them at.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

ben gibbard working with travis morrison?

well that'll be the best album in the world ever then. probably. rip the plan though.

Death Cabbing Across The UK

Eeeeeeeep! :-) Me wanting to go see them in Edinburgh. Do you know if theres still tickets. I hope they are not sold out!!! :-(

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Ripping were still selling tickets last time i passed there.

I think you should be alright. gigs at the venue almost always have tickets left on the night as well. although there may be a weegie contingent through for this one...

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Is it only the Silver Pill supporting in Embra, or are American Analog Set doing it too?

I'm pretty excited just to see Death Cab, but i'd explode if i got to see AmAnSet too!

Not much of a fan of the Silver Pill tho, but it is a while since i last saw them.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

i think AAS are doing the whole tour.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Im sure i heard somewhere it was changing to The Cribs for the tour. but maybe that was an unfounded rumour.
Tonights evening news only listed The Silver Pill though; so maybe it is only them. And now that i think about it, the metro this morning only had the silver pill down as well. as do those nice posters they have conveniently been putting up around town for the last few months. but thats as much as i know.

i've added to the confusion there, havent i?

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

I just accidently sumbled across the right information on the fierce panda site.

They say its The Cribs on all dates. although they do seem to think that the shows a day late as well...

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

when i spoke to the panda a couple of weeks ago they had no idea who the support bands were. mmmm.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

The plot thickens....

Oh well, soon find out anyway. my moneys on the silver pill being the only support at the moment. although if i had the choice AAS would be playing.

Death Cabbing Across The UK

DCFC were astonishing, and very nice guys too.
RANT
A support band was mentioned in this thread, but they were absolutely crap. However, that doesn't really describe how bad they were, as I might say that brown sauce on yoghurt is absolutely crap, but it wouldn't have caused me the same torment I had to suffer through their entire FUCKING set.
END RANT
Silver Pill were quite good though, liked the fifth member with his keyboard and samples and stuff.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

should anyone care, AAS cancelled or something, The Cribs support.

Bada bing bada schwing...

...but Death Cab are great so whatever.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

all i know is that Immense have pulled out of the London gig, because their drummer's left.

i realise this information is of no use to yourself, but it may be to others.

go, Death Cab! i'm interviewing them. give me some questions.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

i'd never know what to ask.

i've spent the last week week having to tell pretty much all my unenlightened friends that despite the name they arent a metal band.
then when i get asked what they are like i say "umm... you can call it indie. i mean, indie sounding too. what you'd imagine indie-pop to sound like" then i end up describing them as "the american snow patrol".

so.... i'd ask..

Do you mind being compared to snow patrol?
They got to number 5 you know. Have you noticed that "indie is back" now?

and thats two yes or no questions. im really not very good at this... ach, i give up.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

Saw them in Manc t'other night, slightly gutted that American Analog Set weren't supporting, as it was actually them that I wenty to see. But Death Cab were OK, if a bit straight-laced for my liking.

Re: Death Cabbing Across The UK

UPDATE: Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies are now supporting tonight. ROCK.\m/
