The Bens EP Sees the Light of Day

The Bens (Lee, Folds & Kweller) previously rare Australian tour-only EP finally gets a commercial release.

You may have heard about The Bens on DiS a little while ago. They're finally making available their rare EP, simply titled The Bens. The EP was the product of the trio spending four days in the studio, sometime in 2003.

The release follows in the footsteps on Folds's previous two EPs and will only be sold online. It is available to order from Attacked By Plastic and recordstore.co.uk.

The tracks are:

1. Just Pretend
2. Xfire
3. Stop!
4. Bruised

Ben Folds is preparing the release of his third, as-yet-untitled EP. This will be followed with an full length LP later in the year.
Ben Kweller is in the studio recording his sophomore effort, fresh from supporting the Kings of Leon on their UK tour. He's aiming for a springtime release.
Ben Lee has so far failed to secure a UK release for his latest album, 'Hey You. Yes You', but it is readily available on import from his native Australia.

The EP is worth importing for track 4 (Bruised) alone - it's the best thing I heard all last year.
