Coldplay Had Planned Cash Collaboration

Coldplay were hoping to collaborate with the late Johnny Cash, says singer Chris Martin.
Martin wrote the following on Coldplay's website: "We did a song for Johnny Cash. We recorded it with Rick Rubin and everything and all that was missing was his vocals. He was going to fly out to LA the week after he died. It's really sad."
Hip hop producer Timbaland recently stated that the only band in the world he wanted to work with was Coldplay.

Coldplay collaborations
I heard that Coldplay have done some collaboration with The Streets for the new album or whatever...
What in God's name...?

Re: Coldplay collaborations
Mike Skinner was asked about that and said "no comment". Apparently Chris Martin's mentioned it on the Coldplay website though.
Coldplay are shite
Who cares if they CLAIM they were gonna team up with Cash, any body can claim anything as the man is dead. Johnny was old and his mind not all there, he probably thought Coldplay was a perscription drug, and wanted to abuse it.
Re: Coldplay collaborations
Heard this too. Can't imagine how it would sound but it would certainly be different. I don't know why people have a problem with Coldplay. Is it because they are so popular therefore not cool? I think the music they make is excellent.

thank fuck Johnny had the good sense to take his talent to more ethereal climes before this abortion monstrosity was dragged, screaming, into the world. Top popping off skills by the Man in black.
