Wacko Jacko's alleged kiddie-fiddling might be making all the headlines right now, but on the other side of California legendary producer Phil Spector has been formally charged with murder.
B-movie actress Lana Clarkson was found dead at the producer's faux castle residence earlier this year, with a gunshot wound to her face. Spector claimed from the beginning that her death was suicide, but police investigations have since suggested that he was responsible for the pulling of the trigger.
Despite the formal charge, Spector still remains 'free' on a $1 million bail whilst he awaits the date of the first court hearing. If found guilty, Spector can expect to see the rest of his days out from behind bars, as he is expected to face the maximum punishment for a charge of first-degree murder of life in prison.
