Beefheart's Magic Band Announce Two Shows
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver November 18th, 2003
Now reformed some 20 years after they parted company, Captain Beefheart's Magic Band have announced two UK shows for January 2004.

23rd Jan 2004, London Royal Festival Hall (020 7960 4242)
24th Jan 2004, Edinburgh Liquid Rooms (0870 90 33 444)

Ticket prices for London start from £17.50, whilst tickets for the Scotland show will cost £15.00 plus a booking fee.

The Magic Band graced UK shores earlier in 2003, playing the All Tomorrow's Parties festival at Camber Sands and a show at London's Shepards Bush Empire. They also released a new record, 'Back To The Front', through ATP Recordings. Although the Captain himself is no longer a member of the group, the shows, and the album, are still full of the trademark psychedelic loopiness that made the band a household name in the 1960s.
