New names for Reading/Leeds announced
A host of new bands and artists announced for Reading and Leeds this year.
The annual lager-fest known as 'The C**ling Weekend: Reading/Leeds' has been bolstered and (somewhat) improved with the announcemnt of a few spades worth of artists.
Some of the highlights include peformances from Broken Social Scene (pictured), Mystery Jets, The Long Blondes and more.
Take a look at the list below and scream from the rooftops, "I must attend this festival!" Perhaps a friendly local eBay seller will hear your call. Even better, would be throwing your own festival, featuring some sort of psycho jellyfish that play keyboards.
Reading and Leeds runs between the 25th-27th August. Tickets for weekend camping are sold out, but you could but three day tickets and sleep in a ditch if you so desire.

It's getting better
I still don't feel bad about not going though.
strange
that BBS are playing reading, i would have thought their DMST contingent would have squirmed at playing a Clear Channel event.
Oh my god...
Slayer and Mastadon on the Main stage. Someone get me a fucking ticket.
There's still only a couple of bands I want to see
But reading is always good, no matter who is playing
Good news:
Jet
BYOP
Giant Drag
The Fall
Secret Machines
Crap news:
Dizzee Rascal
Slayer
Yeah
cos Jet are the greatest thing to ever happen to music.
Re: Good news:
In what universe are Jet good and Slayer Crap ??? I can only assume the news itself is bad because you cannot go.
. .
And Dizzee is the worst?
He was IMMENSE at Reading 2004.
Wanker.
Making up lies.
LOL.
Yes. I'm not going at all.
See you there, Mr Wagz.
I'm afraid
that I can't take Slayer seriously thanks to Bill Bailey...
Yes, the lineup's getting lovely now.
i so want to see
broken social scene, dashboard confessional, tapes n tapes, forward russia, hope of the states & secret machines!... still would never pay to go for them, but i would've loved to
Fuck off????
SLAYER!
ANGEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLL OFFFFFFFFFFF DEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
There's
a few great bands on there, but I can see myself spending a lot of time at the unsigned tent, and the Carling tent listening to bands I've not heard of before.
...
forward russia and the shins should be the highlight of the weekend
Okay
now I do feel bad about not going :\
No GLC yet?
but who's going to open the festival??
Shit...
really should READ the article first...
The Fall
are the only good band on there.
But Rascal & The Shins should be alright.
i reckon
slayer and dizzee are both better than jet.
If anyone's going
Ca they throw a used condom at Chris Carrabara in Dashboard Confessional for me?
excited?
i'm getting bored. i'm not gonna pay 100 quid again to see more average bands. reading's getting more pants as i get older
rarararra metal!
hmm slayer and mastodon?!?!?! reading? same day as dashboard, TBS and MCR? excuse me? who thought this one out. wil be good to see them (on my own at the min cos i know no one else who managed to get a darn ticket) but seriously? the lil 12 yr old emos there wont know where to look!
