MTV Awards Winners In Full

The MTV Awards ceremony hits New York. We yawn.

OK, so here's this year's list of nominees and winners (in bold). As usual the UK was woefully overlooked, represented only by Coldplay, Radiohead and suprise winners Duran Duran, who picked up a well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award.

Veteran country star Johnny Cash received six nominations for the video to his current single, 'Hurt', but failed to make it on the day after being hospitalised earlier this week. He won award one for best cinematography.

Perhaps the most interesting features of the event were Jun from Big Brother USA's appearance and Madonna and Britney getting off with each other on stage. Could it get any mooore exciting?

MTV Awards Winners In Full

i thought these mtv awards were just a backslapping and sales exercise?
Who decides whos nomintated and wins?

Jun from Big Brother USA

What's the relevance and excitement of her appearance? What did she do? I don't watch BBUSA so I couldn't even guess, I'm just bored and interested. Haven't heard anything about her, no doubt got upstaged by the whole pop threesome thing.

i think coldplay are good-ish-kinda. its alright if u like that sort of repetitve crap but the droning vocals dus my hed in. i think inme could step into the limelight a bit. COS COLDPLAY SUCK AND BRITAIN HAS BETTER BANDS THAN THEM SO STOP ARSELICKING THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

Split personalities are rife in our children. . .

Also, you worry about the droning vocals of coldplay, but then suggest that you favour Inme. This makes poor sense. The guy from Inme has a voice that could wax legs from a hundred paces. In short, he's a big wank.

Come on, show us some continuity!

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

i do not favour inme in anyway but recognise other british bands aside from coldplay. i am aware of inme's freaky vocal talents but think we need a change from crap in this country!

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

you forget the girls kissing, even if one of them is old enough to be your mum, ick.

ollie.

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

excuse me. who mentioned girls kissing???

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

that picture is kinda disturbing. their skin! their skin! 'tis rubber like an inner tube!

And there is music that doesn't suck, at least enough music in existence to make a decent winamp playlist anyway. And Coldplay aren't so bad, they're just a bit milked. I'm sure there are lots of oh-so-fantastic obscure indie bands that people namecheck to sound cool...

just...not inme...

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

aha.....anyway so what did everyone else think of the award show then

Re: Jun from Big Brother USA

absolutely bugger all that's the point

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

The report also forgot Madonna kissing Christina. Shame Britney and Christina didn't kiss though, would have made the ultimate threesome...

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

all the lesbian kissing was a stupid stunt! there's no point to it

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

yeah, seriously...they didn't do it because they have this overbearing urge to grope and kiss one another out of pure innate lesbian desire for female flesh.

Two words:

Attention whores

~~

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

Two words: Lipsticklesbians... yum.

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

anyone see linkin park? that was hot

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

of cousre they didnt kiss. they're all married or hav girlfriends! im just appealing to the females like myself who think chester bennington is a hot bod!

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

Um, you've kind of proved yourself wrong there. The point was indeed a stunt. And it worked!

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

if u think i believe the stunt worked....it didnt. even a half eaten sandwhich wouldnt hav been takin in by all that false crap. if it had worked then i wud b shocked and tellin you all "wow i didnt no madonna or christina were bi"???!!!

and queit frankly i was talkin about linkin park here

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

You forgot to mention Coldplay are shite. Sorry. They are. Really. And why do they get constant comparisons to Radiohead? It's like comparing the Clash to GC. Absurd. Absurd! Makes me mad. And they were announced as the "best band on this planet". What a piece of bullshit, I guess their record co. is making $$. Why can't the masses distinguish between genius and lowly, embarassing imitation?

Re: MTV Awards Winners In Full

No, it worked because here we are talking about it, which was the desired effect.

MTV Is corporate crap that replays the same videos over and over again occcasionally throwing in a good band like afi or rancid. Both of those bands deserve awards. The only good awards that were given were to afi and johnny cash. i'm not a fan of coldplay but i don hate them and some of their stuff is good.
