In Cold Blood: Chris Martin In Trouble

Chris Martin isn't one of the musicians who uses the media for his own self-publicity. He doesn't fall out of the Met Bar at 2 in the morning, throwing up on the bouncers' shoes as he goes. He doesn't contact the media when he wants to get a point across, which many 'stars' do. He has every right to a private life and I would have done the same in his position (legal note: if he did it).

Tis the circle of life, people.

Bands make money off the kids and they sell those records thru the papers, by playing gigs, dating filmstars, endorsing drinks and charities and opening shops and turning on lights.

Being a circle, it goes around. So whilst bands are making money off photographers snapping them gloriously playing big festivals or grinning with pretty models at parties, the same snappas are also gonna make money photographing the same bands being drunken at that same party, playing football in the park, shagging groupies in their back garden or, as in this, surfing on a beach.

Chris Martin's a very clever bloke. He's played the press extremely well until now. If he was in a public area he would have had no right to smash up any cameras. He knows how it all works.

I was a fan way before parachutes, this isnt a 'look at me look how 'indie i am post' im stating a fact, i heard them play unsigned on radio1 , and recorded it cus they sounded great, ihave that session on tape and mp3's if you want to hear it. Ithen bought the blue room ep when that came out then shiver then ithink parachutes came out then yellow. Then i stopped.
