E17 in W12: boyband reform
- Artists:
- East 17 »
"Everybody, everybody in the" Shepherds Bush Empire...
East 17 - the All Saints to Take That's Spice Girls - are to reform for an apparent one-off performance at the aforementioned London venue. The date's May 30th. Tickets are on sale right now.
The band hasn't played togther for some ten years, but lead singer (we guess) Tony Mortimer isn't worried:
"I am sure it will all come flooding back. I have already started playing the songs to get the rust and cobwebs out in time for the gig. It's going to be a great show. A 'one-off' that I hope people will remember."
Although it's being sold as a standalone show, rumours are flying about to the tune of a UK tour later in the year. Oh HELL yes. So long as Brian Harvey, pictured, doesn't fall under his car again, everything'll be dandy...
DiScuss: Steam? STEAM! Plus, who's next to reform? 2Unlimited?

'Outside it's raining but inside it's wet'
Playing the songs?
I thought they just sung and danced about with inside out beanies on their heads.

I hear Micheal Jackson is reforming too.

2unlimitd reformed last year
Actually,
I saw them play but 2 years ago. They played at my College May Ball, along with Chicane and Jimmy Carr. Looking forward to the line-up this year :)
East 17 wrote all their songs
And got signed by actually sending a demo into London rather than being manufactured. Which makes them a significantly different proposition to Take That.
I hope this goes well for them. I'm, er, busy.
Yay for
The Sensational Brian Harvey Band!
(60's reference in E17 thread shocker!)
G&Caius cracks me up

An old Smash Hits circa 93 E17 joke
