Adams Returns to Whiskeytown

In a post on his website, Adams recently announced that a reformation of his former alt-country act Whiskeytown was likely, a notion which has been reiterated by violinist/vocalist Cary in an interview with RollingStone.com, where she suggests that "It could be like a Neil Young, Crazy Horse kind of thing, where every five years we'd get together and make a record. It would be really fun to have Whiskeytown on the backburner in that way."
What both artists omit to mention is that this announcement is conveniently timed shortly prior to the UK release of Cary's latest solo album, and at a time when Adams is having problems with his record label regarding his latest effort.
But whatever the motivations behind the move, a Whiskeytown reunion is likely to be extremely popular, with their last album, 'Pneumonia', celebrated by many as a veritable classic.
