Busted head to No. 1

Here's how the UK singles chart stands midweek.

DiS can safely, er, 'predict' that the mighty Busted will score their first No. 1 single this coming Sunday, with that song about being turned down for a dance. Awww.

They're beating David 'Sneddo' Sneddon, who's at No. 2 with his second single, and So Solid Crew's Lisa Mafia is at No. 3.

Also popping up in the Top 10 are the White Stripes (gosh!), DMX, the really crap Triple 8, and then there's that Room 5 single which won't go away.

In the lower reaches of the charts, DiS favourites Funeral For A Friend make a surprise entry at No. 46.

Meanwhile, Madonna is unsurprisingly at No. 1 in the albums chart, topping the combined sales of both the No. 2 and 3 entries.

haha - they had their album [?] on in a record shop i was in yesterday, i was thinking just how SO much what was playing was absolute Xfm-playlist nu-punk-pop fodder...and then "what i go to school for" or something came on next and it all became clearer
ahahahahaha
and then i heard the new good charlotte song this a.m.
my god

anyway. that lisa maffia song should be number 1. fucking obviously.
but this incident has certainly quelled my saturday-morning-tv-saturation based dislike of busted..

nah i got The Real Thing on tuesday just cos
it was the last copy in manchester city centre for at least another day
HMV had another 15 on order!
so it bodes well for when they actually do release a single
