Uh oh oh uh oh oh...
The Futureheads have put the final touches to their second album, and have announced that it'll be released through 679 on July 12th.
The four-piece have spent the last five or so weeks in a studio in Scarborough with Ben Hillier (credits include Blur and Doves), and now have 14 songs ready. Titles - and these are all working titles until confirmed - include 'Munich', 'Worry', 'Cope', 'Yes/No' and 'Faith'.
The word is that the album is different in sound to the a cappella stylings of their self-titled debut.

can't wait.
ooooooooh
Ive just seen he face of God YAY
Faith ...
...is a cover of the George Michael song. It goes 'uhoohuhooh uh'.
does that mean
'Munich' is a cover of the Editors?

ross: youshouldknowthesethingsbynow!
Its funny how...
...it says on the 679 recordings web site that the debut album came out on July 12 as well.
The date can't be right...
...the 12th is a Wednesday.
I suspect that the SOURCE of this news is WRONG.
According to the poster I'm currently facing
The debut did come out on the 12th of July...
.
lol !!
odds
2-1 this album is disappointing but still gets good reviews all round and people use cliches like "more mature" and "a step forward" and "come back stronger than ever"
8-1 this album is totally rubbish
25-1 this album is better than the first
1000-1 this album doesn't contain at least one ohhhh ohhhh ohhhh WOOOOOAH moment
2000-1 Kenickie reform and reclaim the crown as "best band from Sunderland"
i so hope
Kenickie could reform...
CD:UK...
...is going down the pan soon, so don't rule out Laverne downtime bringing them back.
Munich
two songs with that name and a film in a year!! ORIGINALITY PEOPLE!!
They could have at least
called it 'Munchen'
I heard a track yesterday
It's pretty good - very different to the first album, guitars are much edgier...I liked it but I'm not sure people who were drawn in by Hounds of Love would.
good
!
i miss kenickie
but then i miss most female bands that split up and have front women that go on to have media careers of varying success...
Or
Munchin'
Lets just hope...
it's better than "Area"
Wowee!
Area was nice but their first album will be sumthing big to beat! well i loved it, 1 of the best debuts, lets just hope the 2nd album doesnt fuck about and stil keeps the raw energy of the 1st.
Btw, u foo fighter fans, pah for silencing them at the nec, the futureheads deserve at least a mini mosh right haha
That made
my spit orange juice all over my keyboard.
I just
want another song that sounds like He Knows.
