Leik OMG?
Super-ace geek rockers Weezer - what is it with these guys dissing my girl, anyway? - have been lined up to appear as The Velvet Underground in a forthcoming film based on the life of Edie Sedgewick, entitled Factory Girl.
(No, really, that title must've taken years to arrive at, if not entire decades... for fuck's sake...)
Lou Reed, former frontman of the Velvets, has reportedly called the film's script "one of the most disgusting, foul things I've seen - by any illiterate retard - in a long time". This information comes to you courtesy of Playlouder, by the way.
Weezer have covered 'Heroin' for the movie, but they're not really on drugs, whatever that awful song from Make Believe said...
Edie Sedgewick, case you're wondering, was an associate of Andy Warhol back in the 1960s. The pair eventually fell out, and Sedgewick turned her back on Warhol's Factory complex. She's, like, dead now. Like Chris Penn. And The Queen Mum.

BANDS WE LOVE: PART 2352342
That Lou Reed
quote is magnificent!
As is...
... the comment about the Queen mum. Nice work Diver!!!!!
I thought Chris Penn
died in the mouth of the thames a few days ago?
And just like that whale, I would rather die of kidney failure, dehydration & hunger whilst trying to find the atlantic to munch on squid before I see this film.
How do...
...people find out about celebrity deaths so quickly on this site? You're always first to the action.
As "heroin"
is in my top 10 favourite songs ever I was at first rather disheartened to hear this. Now I suppose it'll be interesting to hear what they've done with it. If it's terrible (which it most probably will be) it'll hopefully get more people to go out and get the original.
Fucking
idiots.
I love the quote. I didn't used to like him, but I do now.
i thought
weezer were throwing in the towel? plus, i hate being the only person in the world who really likes make believe.
I like make believe hold me is as good as anything on the blue album
Ahhh
the Weez, they should just jack it all in right? I have found memories of their last Reading performance and don't need their legacy ruined by utter tosh like Beverley Hills and Velvet Underground covers.
Altogether now
"Eveeerrryone's a little queeeeerrr...."
The difference between TVU and Weezer is
Weezer have made two more good albums than TVU have!
I really hope there is someone somewhere called
Beverly Hills
Make Believe is as good as blue.
Both joint third best weezer albums.
and Hold Me is my second favourite song from it...
so which member
plays Mo Tucker?!
erm.
god
forbid this to happen!
