Loose Lips returns after lengthy hiatus
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver January 23rd, 2006
The sixth issue of the much-celebrated Loose Lips Sink Ships, the music/photography magazine helmed by Stevie Chick and Steve Gullick, is to be released on January 30th. Issue five was published, oooooh, what feels like eight years ago.

Why tell you this? Well, since the demise of Careless Talk Costs Lives waaaay back when, few magazines (y'know, the things like this but on PAPER...) have had us in throes of adoration and jealousy quite like LLSS (I say 'us', I mean 'me'): the artists covered are consistently diverse and excellent, the photography is top-dollar, as you'd expect from a magazine with Mr Gullick on board, and the writing is of a very high standard. Contributors for issue six include the likes of friends-of-DiS Manish Agarwal and John Doran (ATP companions of choice), Sophie Harris and the always excellent Neil Kulkarni. In short: it looks the shit and reads the shit. It is the shit.

Issue six features the following acts:
BLACK MOUNTAIN, DUKE GARWOOD, HOOKERS GREEN NO.1, ALEXANDER TUCKER, NEON BLONDE, WIVES, SCOUT NIBLETT, EARTH, SHIMMY RIVERS AND AND CANAL, VIKING MOSES, THE DRONES, URSULA RUCKER, MAPS, OCS, LINK WRAY, ANGELS OF THE LIGHT & AKRON/FAMILY, JOSH PEARSON, YOUNG GODS, DR.DOG, VIRGIN PASSAGES

It's available, as of January 30th, from HMV, Virgin, Rough Trade, Selectdisc, et cetera. You can also order a copy through the magazine's website, here.
