Sir Paul rejects Brit Award honour

Sir Paul McCartney reportedly turned down the Brit Awards' Outstanding Contribution to Music gong for fear of appearing past it.
The famous veggie, 63, reckons that accepting the award would imply that his career was all but over, when he's feeling as creative as ever. A spokesman for the event said:
_ "We were absolutely stunned. Sir Paul felt that if he accepted the gong, people would assume it was the end of his career."_
The award will now go to Paul Weller, not 63, presumably for his Shockwaves range that made indie-kids' hair stand to attention for all those NME gigs last year.

10/10
you should put these in a book.
this man
is an arse
good man
brits are worthless anyway
thats why
the kaisers are up for 5 of them i suppose!
har har
har
Why do I hate McCartney?
I so shouldn't but the guy's a fucking plum duff of the highest order.
I think
it's because he does 'big eyes' at the camera in the Hey Jude video.
He's a dick. Everyone thinks so.
I don't particularly like him
But I think this is a good decision on his part. How would a Brit award in any way add anything to his career?
Paul Weller
also deserves it - and his career certainly isn't over. He owes much of his solo success in the mid-nineties to constant Brit Award nominations, whereas McCartney, as has been previously mentioned, just doesn't need it.
Macca
Isn't this the second time he's refused the award? Last time the Spice Girls got the award! Who gives a toss about the brits anyway.
cunt
i'm glad he can see he's past it, he should fucking die like the other pricks from his shit band
Roffle.
Lovely profile.
Leather and Steel.
You're quite good piss-take.
Oh
silly you.
