Jon Spencer UK Tour with added Kills + Soul
rpearce by Rebeckah Pearce January 6th, 2003
More JSBX dates with added Kills..

Taking time out of their world-wide tour with the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion will be playing three UK dates with up and coming garage/punk band The Kills.

The UK tour features a special show at the Royal Festival Hall in London on the 31st January where the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion will collaborate with Soul legend Solomon Burke as previously reported here. Burke, an influential rhythm an’ blues artist who emerged in the late 1950s, has just released a new album featuring contributions from Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and Brian Wilson.

The Jon Spencer live dates are as follows:

January
29th Jan - Dublin Tivoli - with The Kills
30th Jan - Nottingham Rock City – with The Kills
31st Jan - Royal Festival Hall - The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion meets Solomon Burke

February
1st Feb - Brighton Corn Exchange – with The Kills
