Beck's Blues

Beck is to appear on a tribute album to folk and blues artist Mississippi John Hurt.
Hurt, who passed away in 1966, has often been named as an influence to many modern blues artists and was described as a precursor to the 'softer side of the blues', due to his slow fingerpicking and soft singing style.
Beck is to contribute his version of Hurt's song 'Stagolee'. Other artists involved on the compilation include John Hiatt and Steve Eare.
The album is due to be released in June on Vanguard Records.
